Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Prague. All this video was shot in a couple of hours on a Tuesday afternoon, using my crappy compact camera (although it did come out in 720p high definition, which was better than my last camera). This is my first attempt at a travel video, so by gentle. Bonus trivia points for anyone that can guess the film that the backing music comes from.
First travel post! I’ve been lucky enough to have spent the past week in Lisbon. Weather was beautiful, people were really friendly and the city is filled with character. For those wishing to embark on their own voyage to Portugal’s first city, you must do the following three things when you’re there:
- Spend a day wondering around Bairro Alto and spend a night drinking in Bairro Alto. It’s got a very bohemic feel to the place, and many fun times to be had.
- Catch an old tram, to anywhere. They’re hot, smelly, rickety and intimate for all the wrong reasons, but there was no better way I could find of seeing all the winding back streets of Alfama.
- Leave Lisbon, and go to Sintra for the day. It’s like something from a fairytale. Castles, palaces, acres of wood. Sadly when I went it was raining, maybe you’ll have better luck though!
